The goal of LITE AND HOPE, created by Medical Marketing Services, LLC, is to raise awareness in morbidly obese patients and their family members about the surgical options available for the treatment for Morbid Obesity. Carnie Wilson hosts a nationwide INFOMERCIAL, LITE AND HOPE, that helps patients find qualified bariatric surgeons to perform Gastric Bypass surgery.
Surgeons referred through "LITE AND HOPE" and its TOLL-FREE number must meet the highest standards of professional excellence in the area of Gastric Bypass Surgery and the treating of morbid obesity.

ABOUT LITE AND HOPE AND MICKEY SHAPIRO:

Mickey Shapiro met Carnie Wilson in 1992, who was part of Wilson Phillips, a group I started to co-manage. Carnie and I became good friends and I continued to manage her career after Wilson Phillips disbanded.
In 1995, Carnie was selected to host her own daily talk show, Carnie. During that year I became acutely aware of how much pressure Carnie was under from the show producers to lose weight. Though I know Carnie was overweight during the Wilson Phillips era, it never really interfered with her professional life as a singer. That was not the case with the tv show. When the show was cancelled in 1996, Carnie started to experience serious health concerns all attributable to her excess weight. About that time, I started to become interested in initiating a web-based health care site and one of the issues we decided to explore was obesity.

Mickey Shapiro has served as Carnie Wilson's personal manager in all aspects of her career since 1992.
